Marsha and Terry Henson were married on December 3, 1971 and are celebrating their 30th wedding anniversary this year. In 1971, they were both living in Asheville, NC. The big day approached and all of the details were complete for a big wedding with the cake and flowers and dress... you know, the whole nine yards. But, incredibly there was a HUGE freak snowstorm the day before the wedding! Due to a really unfortunate chain of events, Marsha never got to walk down the aisle in her beautiful white gown. Instead, she and Terry were married late in the evening with only the pastor, his wife, and a grungy, half-awake cab driver in attendance! However, they've been no less happy over the years. They have two handsome sons and many, many loving friends.
To commemorate their 30th anniversary, they renewed their vows and had a lovely reception in Northern Greenville County at Cliffs at Glassy. The ceremony took place in the chapel high atop the moutain overlooking the Piedmont, and the reception was afterwards at the lovely country club.
